KAC KS-1
Caliber:5.56mm
The Knight's Stoner (KS) Carbine, unveiled in 2022, was developed to meet the requirements of international special operations forces. In September 2023, the British Armed Forces selected the KS-1 rifle under Project Hunter to replace the L85A2-A3 and L119A1-A2 rifles. The KS-1, designated L403A1 or Alternative Individual Weapon (AIW), is now used by the British Army's Special Operations Brigade and Royal Marines.
The UK Ministry of Defence purchased 1,620 KS-1 rifles for £15 million, with a £90 million option for up to 10,000 rifles over the next decade. The selection of the KS-1, over competitors like Heckler & Koch, SIG Sauer, Daniel Defense, and Glock, highlights its superior design and capability.
