Later, as the AR series became popular in the civilian market, every factory wanted to produce AR for sale, so Armalite decided to re-enter the market. However, since they no longer had the ownership of the AR-15 name, they slightly modified the original design and launched this civilian semi-automatic rifle under the name of M15.

In 1980, he started a small workshop using CNC machine tools to produce and sell competition-level AR parts. Initially, he only made some small parts such as scope mounts. In 2006, he began to produce his own competition-level upper receivers, and then added his own lower receivers, so he simply launched his own competition-level AR complete gun. Their products are mainly in two calibers: 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO. The latter adopts the AR10 design. The main product is the OBR series ( Optimized Battle Rifle ). It is said that good shooters can easily achieve 1/2 MOA accuracy using OBR with competition bullets. In 2011, the weight-reduced OBR PredatAR series was launched, which is said to have a 1 MOA level.
