SR-25 rifle series

                                  SR-25 rifle series

                                      Caliber: 7.62 × 51mm NATO

In early 1993, KAC launched a new product, the SR-25 semi-automatic rifle, a collaboration between Knight and Stoner, to the civilian market. SR-25 stands for Stoner rifle, "S" stands for "Stoner", "R" stands for "Rifle", and "25" is derived from AR-10 plus AR-15, because SR-25 is the combination of AR-10 and AR-15. -10 and AR-15 are successfully combined, 60% of the parts are directly taken from these two rifles.

In order to make the SR-25's accuracy reach the level of competition or sniper rifles, KAC Company, after many comparisons, finally selected the 5R rifled barrel manufactured by Remington Company. This heavy barrel is exactly the gun of the M24 sniper rifle. barrel , the standard barrel is 24 inches (610mm) long.

Although the SR-25 is a civilian product, this rifle that fires .308 Winchester match rifle ammunition fully meets the requirements of a military sniper rifle, and the field disassembly and maintenance of the SR-25 are more convenient than the AR-15/M16, and the service is The performance is better than the M16, so some US military special forces are also equipped with some SR-25 as sniper rifles . It is said that the SEALs have used SR-25 in Somalia .

The SR-25 series initially had four main models. The standard model is also called the SR-25 match rifle, and the rest include light match rifles, carbines and sporting rifles.

The SR-25 initially used a carbon fiber cylindrical handguard produced by Armalite, which was later changed to a RAS handguard with four-sided Picatinny rails. It received an order from the U.S. Navy Special Forces and was called Mk . 11 Mod 0 , and then the URX was launched. After installing the integrated receiver, the SR-25 's handguard was changed to URX. After the KeyMod handguard became popular in 2013, KAC/KMC also launched the KeyMod SR-25 .

The SR-25 battle rifle (Battle Rifle) is the latest product launched by KAC/KMC. It is basically based on the original SR-25 carbine and uses KAC's latest URX rail-type handguard. Dispersion was within 1.9 inches at 100 yards when using the M118LR round. URX stands for "Upper Receiver Extension Quad-Rail". It is somewhat similar to the SIR system of ARMS. It is also part of the upper receiver, so it can keep the barrel in a floating state and is lighter in weight. In addition, its lower rail can be removed. For the M16 series, this can be easily hung. Install M203.

A Delta Commando named Shrek (real name is John Mcphee) once mentioned that he used 14.5-inch and 16-inch SR-25Ks in Iraq, and his SR-25K was the first 14.5-inch SR-25K in history. If If it is true, then the SR-25 combat rifle and the Mk 11 carbine below may be guns built according to orders from the Delta Commando and sold on the market under an official name . Although the barrel of the SR-25 combat rifle is only 14.5 inches long, a skinny camel is larger than a horse. The short barrel 7.62 NATO caliber rifle is still stronger than the 5.56 NATO in terms of range, accuracy and damage effect. Moreover, the short-barreled 7.62 NATO rifle can also be used for CQB. According to Shrek, he used a 16-inch .308 AR in Iraq. When he fired a shot indoors, the ears of enemies without earmuffs were shocked and bleeding (see Electronic Drop As for noise headphones , the sound of 7.62 NATO is louder than that of 5.56 NATO) , even shock bombs are omitted.
