Caliber:　5.56 × 45mm M855

The name SR-16 means "M16 Stoner Rifle". It is a military version of the SR-15, specially produced for law enforcement agencies or military users, so it can fire semi-automatically and fully automatically. But it uses a typical M16-style receiver. The SR-16 mainly has two models: the SR-16 M5 with a 20-inch barrel and the SR-16 M4 with a 14.5-inch barrel.

This video is Royal Marines hit the range with new KS-1 assault rifle. The KS (Knight's Stoner) Carbine, is a series of Armalite AR-15 style rifles produced by Knight's Armament Company (KAC). It is designed as an improved version of their SR-16 family of rifles. The 13.7" KS-1 variant was adopted as the L403A1-AIW by the British Armed Forces in 2023 to replace the L85A2-A3 and L119A1-A2 rifles used by British Army and Royal Marines special operations-capable forces.

 US Air Force GUU-5/P Carbine Caliber:　5.56 × 45mm M 855 By: The Texas Gun Vault The US Air Force has been using GAU-5/A , GAU-5A/A and GAU-5P until the late 1980s and early 1990s. As the M16A2 firing the M885 bullet began to serve and the barrels of many GAU rifles in the Air Force had reached the end of their service life, the US Air Force began to gradually improve the existing GAU rifles to GUU-5/P (note that there is a slash in front of the P here). The improvement mainly replaced the 14.5-inch barrel with a twist rate of 1/7 to fire the M885 bullet. There is a bayonet catch under the front sight (but the US Air Force still does not have bayonet training). Such a modification is obviously a cost-saving approach.     M27 IAR (including M38 SPR) Caliber :　 5.56 × 45mm NATO HK 's sample gun for the US Marine Corps' IAR competition is the HK416 with a 16.5-inch (about 420mm) barrel. Unlike other IAR sample guns, HK IAR does not have other special improvements (such as two firing modes like FN IAR , or a large heat sink like Colt IAR ). However, HK IAR is the lightest among all competing models, weighing 7.9 pounds (about 3.6kg) when empty, and the operation is the same as M16 . Ordinary soldiers do not need special training to master it, because HK simply directly took out one of the carbine models of HK416 to participate in the bidding.
